Daily, many find themselves in despair and distressed. Families struggle to sustain basic, everyday necessities such as food, clothing and shelter. When unpredictable events occur such as rent increase, lack of affordable financing, traumatic experience and health decline individuals often get stuck in a repetitive cycle of trying to make ends meet. Nearly all simply desire to have a safe haven to call “home”, decent clothing to present themselves with dignity and a meal for nutriment. Yet these basic necessities go unmet. No one wants to live with a constant burden of uncertainty, feeling disenfranchised.
